New Delhi (Nilesh Tiwari), December 19: When Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was leaving the Melbourne airport with his wife Anushka Sharma and children, he got into a fight with a female Australian journalist who was trying to film his kids. The infringement of his family’s privacy infuriated Virat Kohli. He approached the reporter and requested to view the images and recordings. Then the famous cricket player requested that she delete any photos or videos of his family, while allowing her to retain those that featured him solo. Ahead of the fourth Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the incident has been reported by Australian media Channel7.
Virat Kohli is seen walking out of the area and then re-enters for a moment or two in order to express more irritation in a video put out by X channel. The celebrity athlete was very furious that X channel had intruded into his personal space without his permission.
“Yeah, I need some privacy with my kids. In the widely shared X Channel video, Virat Kohli stated, “You can’t film without asking me.” The former Indian captain is heard making a legitimate complaint against Channel X unauthorized invasion of his and his family’s privacy.”.
While always in the public eye, Kohli has still drawn boundaries around his family. Anushka Sharma and Kohli have been cautious enough to ensure their children stay out of the media’s spotlight. All that has done is help keep the focus on Kohli’s outburst at Melbourne Airport, revealing a strong urge to keep the quietude of his family out of such intense media glare.
Poor batting from Virat Kohli has been a hallmark of the current Test series. Kohli could not match up to the expectations in the first three Test matches. He did score a century in the second innings of the series opener in Perth. In six innings, Kohli has scored 126 runs at an average of 30. He has scored 26 runs in five innings, excluding the century.
Australia has successfully utilized one method to put pressure on the Indian batting hero, but Kohli had not been able to resist his compulsion to poke at deliveries that are bowled outside the off-stump. Kohli would look to regain his best self in Melbourne. Team India requires their best batsmen to come out and bat in the highly competitive Test series.
