Greater Noida (National Desk), December 19: The Indian Parliament witnessed heated debates during the winter session as Home Minister Amit Shah made a statement about freedom fighter Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in the Rajya Sabha. The situation escalated on Thursday, leading to a chaotic scene involving protests and alleged manhandling within the Parliament. Opposition leaders accused Amit Shah of making derogatory remarks about Dr. Ambedkar, prompting a unified response from across opposition parties. Meanwhile, the BJP countered with a campaign targeting the Congress’s stance on Dr. Ambedkar.

Here are the various statements made on the issue:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “If the Congress and its rotten ecosystem think their malicious lies can hide their misdeeds of several years, especially their insult towards Dr. Ambedkar, they are gravely mistaken! The people of India have seen time and again how one Party, led by one dynasty, has indulged in every possible dirty trick to obliterate the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar and humiliate the SC/ST communities.”

Amit Shah said that he comes from that party and that culture, which cannot insult Babasaheb and his ideas even in its dreams.

BJP President JP Nadda said that Congress party should introspect itself before lecturing others on respecting Baba Saheb Ambedkar. They have stooped to the level where they spread lies. Amit Shah’s speech was backed by facts, logic, and evidence, uncovered the Congress Party’s malicious history of being Anti-Ambedkar, Anti-Dalit, Anti-poor, and Anti-Constitution.

BJP’s National Executive Member Amit Malviya said, “FIR must be filed against Rahul Gandhi under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act for assaulting BJP MP S Phangnon Konyak, a woman and Tribal. Additionally, another case must be filed for outraging the modesty and undermining dignity of a woman in the precinct of Parliament. This is an unprecedented situation where the Leader of Opposition has been accused of improper behaviour by a woman MP.”

Demanding Amit Shah’s resignation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that India will neither forget nor tolerate the Home Minister’s derogatory remarks against Baba Saheb. Amit Shah will have to apologize!

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that Amit Shah made this statement to divert the attention of the public. In the Parliament where they were protesting every day, BJP suddenly planned a protest today. It’s okay, they don’t mind. They moved to another place. But when their people came on the way to the House, BJP people came in front and started sloganeering. Parliament Security people were present there. Everyone saw that the BJP people had become aggressive. They were also pushed around. He sat down on the ground.
