India’s skipper, Rohit Sharma, has been having a tough time in the current Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia. Rohit became the first skipper to leave the India playing eleven since the seasoned opener has yet to score more than 10 runs in each of his five innings.
Rohit was observed in warm-up drills that included a footballing drill during the net practice session on Thursday. However, he missed the slip catching session. KL Rahul, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Virat Kohli attended the practice session.
Rohit was sitting alone in the dressing room without a single teammate. On Friday, when Jasprit Bumrah went out for a toss at the Sydney Cricket Ground, all the rumors were finally confirmed.
There are six captains who have left the playing eleven.
- Michael Clarke
- Brendon McCullum
- Alastair Cook
- Rohit’s Dilemma
- Dinesh Chandimal
- Mike Denness
