Greater Noida (National Desk): In response to Pahalgam terrorist attack, India on Wednesday conducted strikes at around 2 am on many terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The overnight precision strikes were conducted under the codename ‘Operation Sindoor’. At least 26 civilians were killed in Pahalgam, Kashmir terrorist attack on April 22.

Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on X, “Proud of our armed forces. #OperationSindoor is Bharat’s response to the brutal killing of our innocent brothers in Pahalgam. The Modi government is resolved to give a befitting response to any attack on India and its people. Bharat remains firmly committed to eradicating terrorism from its roots.”

List of nine terror facility locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir that have been successfully neutralised by India:

1. Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur – JeM

2. Markaz Taiba, Muridke – LeT

3. Sarjal, Tehra Kalan – JeM

4. Mehmoona Joya, Sialkot – HM

5. Markaz Ahle Hadith, Barnala – LeT

6. Markaz Abbas, Kotli – JeM

7. Maskar Raheel Shahid, Kotli – HM

8. Shawai Nalla Camp, Muzaffarabad – LeT

9. Syedna Bilal Camp, Muzaffarabad – JeM

Defence Ministry informed on social media website X, “India has launched #OperationSindoor, a precise and restrained response to the barbaric #PahalgamTerrorAttack that claimed 26 lives, including one Nepali citizen. Focused strikes were carried out on nine #terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, targeting the roots of cross-border terror planning. Importantly, no Pakistani military facilities were hit, reflecting India’s calibrated and non-escalatory approach. This operation underscores India’s resolve to hold perpetrators accountable while avoiding unnecessary provocation. A detailed briefing on the operation will follow later today.”

Meanwhile, the central government has alerted all Indians for any critical situation. Sharing a video message, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and MP, Piyush Goyal has urged, “as soon as the siren sounds, be alert without delay and follow the prescribed safety rules.”
