Greater Noida (Foreign Desk): The Executive Chairman of ‘X’ and ‘Tesla’ chief Elon Musk on Saturday highlighted the immigrant journey of renowned scientist Nikola Tesla. He called him a ‘penniless immigrant’ whose inventions led to American dominance in electricity generation and usage.
Elon Musk wrote on social media website X, “We named @Tesla after Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest engineers ever. He was a penniless immigrant whose inventions led to American dominance in electricity generation and usage.”
Musk faced sharp reactions from the users after this post. Edwin replied, “We get it, you love immigrants. We love them too, but not at the expense of losing our jobs, our way of life and culture. If they would respect our country and laws, learn English and not force their culture on us, we might not be having this debate.”
Another user wrote, “Nikola Tesla was a brilliant Serbian man from Europe, not a worthless H-1B case. He is a poster child for merit, which H-1B doesn’t care for. He is a one in a billion type of man, like a Leonardo Da Vinci. The people given low wage work visas are absolutely nothing like him.”
