New Delhi (Nilesh Tiwari): Jasprit Bumrah, the pace leader of Team India, continues to inspire Australian bowler Sean Abbott with his efforts in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Abbott claimed that he admires the right-arm speedster for the way he continually puts pressure on the Australian batters, session after session.

With 21 wickets in three test matches and an incredible average of 10.90, Bumrah has been the most impressive bowler on both sides of the series. With four dismissals apiece in the series, the 31-year-old has kept the Australian hitters on their toes, particularly the opening duo of Nathan McSweeney and Usman Khawaja.

According to Perth Now, Abbott stated that they believe they are gifted to watch Bumrah bowl.

He can deliver any delivery with accuracy and speed. He simply checks every box, session after session. In this series, he has bowled every occasion and has consistently applied pressure to the Australian batters. It’s been unbelievable, so I take my hat off to him. We are witnessing a master in action. Perhaps it was fortunate that he was never coached out of it. For the entirety of his life and career, he has simply remained Jasprit Bumrah. We all get to see him bowl; he’s among the best we’ve ever seen.

The Australian selectors were forced to leave McSweeney out of the squad for the fourth and fifth Test matches after Bumrah dismissed him four times in six innings. He will probably be replaced at the top for the Boxing Day Test by Sam Konstas.

No matter how many years they have played Test cricket, everyone who enters the team has this growing mentality. I’m fortunate that those men always use their time well to help those around them, whether it’s when they return to play for NSW, when I’m on tour in Australia, or this week in particular. Being busy cricket players, they have a strong stake in the success of people around them. The guys are under a lot of pressure to perform their duties.
