New Delhi (Defence Desk): Three Frontline Combatants were commissioned into the Indian Navy on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the grand ceremony at Naval dockyard in Mumbai.
The Indian Navy informed on social media website X, “#INSNilgiri, is the first ship of the P17A stealth frigate project and #INSSurat the fourth & final ship of P15B stealth destroyer project. #lNSVaghsheer is the sixth & final submarine of the P75 submarine project.”
The Navy further said, “All three Combat platforms boast of high indigenous content and are shining examples of India’s
drive for indigenisation through the #AatmanirbharBharat initiative. Induction of these platforms will significantly boost the Navy’s capability in consonance with its stated vision of a Combat Ready, Credible, Cohesive and Future Ready Force, safeguarding #India’s maritime interests.”
PM Modi also shared this achievement and wrote, “Had the great opportunity to witness the country’s defence capabilities at the Naval event in Mumbai.”
