The President of India has accepted the resignation of Brigadier Dr B D Mishra Retired from the position of Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Following this, the President has approved a fresh round of appointments to key constitutional posts. Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the new Governor of Haryana. Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju will take charge as the Governor of Goa. Meanwhile Shri Kavinder Gupta has been named as the new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
These appointments will come into effect from the date the respective individuals assume charge of their offices. The reshuffle marks an important administrative transition across the states and union territories.
