Visakhapatnam: Reinforcing its commitment to nation-building through employment generation, Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) successfully organized a three-day Rozgar Mela from June 23 to June 25, 2026, at its Head Office in Visakhapatnam. Organized by the Human Resources Department, the recruitment drive witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 500 aspiring candidates from across the country participating in the selection process for various categories of fleet personnel.
The initiative was conducted in alignment with the Government of India’s Rozgar Mela mission, reflecting the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to create meaningful employment opportunities across sectors. The programme also received the encouragement and support of the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, and the Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shantanu Thakur.
As India’s premier dredging organization, jointly owned by a consortium of four major Port Authorities under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), DCIL continues to play a vital role in strengthening the country’s maritime infrastructure while creating quality employment opportunities for skilled professionals.
The Rozgar Mela was organized under the guidance of Jasmeet Singh Bindra, IRTS, Chairman, DCIL, and Capt. S. Divakar, Managing Director & CEO, DCIL, whose leadership continues to drive the organization towards operational excellence and human resource development.
