Greater Noida (National Desk): A political uproar erupted nationwide following Amit Shah’s remarks on Indian freedom fighter Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Parliament, with opposition leaders spearheading the backlash. Amid this controversy, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal announced the ‘Dr. Ambedkar Samman Scholarship Yojana’ on Saturday, pledging to cover tuition fees, travel expenses, and accommodation costs for SC students from Delhi who get admission to top international universities for higher education. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) actively highlighted this issue, aiming to gain support from Delhi’s Scheduled Caste (SC) population, which constitutes about 17% of the city’s total population.
However, Kejriwal’s initiative backfired when the BJP countered by exposing the unfulfilled promises from similar past commitments, questioning the credibility of his new announcement. BJP’s National Executive Member Amit Malviya wrote a series of Tweets in this issue.
Sharing an RTI report, Amit Malviya wrote, “Arvind Kejriwal had also announced a scheme to provide assistance to students of SC community for education in abroad in 2019, under which at least 100 students were promised this facility every year. According to this scheme, till now 500 students should have received this assistance from the Delhi government. However, it has been revealed through an RTI that only 5 students have been given assistance under this scheme in the last 5 years, while crores of rupees have been spent on its promotion. Arvind Kejriwal is the biggest fraud in the world.”

Amit Malviya further wrote ,”before elections – wake up every day, make a new announcement and then go to sleep. After elections – forget all the announcements and get into the liquor scam. By the way, he had announced this scheme in 2019. It was publicised a lot but till date no one knows how many Dalit students have been sent abroad for studies. The scheme of scholarship and financial aid for studying abroad for Dalit students has been running by the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the last ten years.”

Amit Malviya also shared video where Amit Kejriwal can be seen speaking against the reservation policy in India. He wrote, “In this video, Arvind Kejriwal is giving the formula to end the reservation and is saying that reservation should be on economic basis. Whereas in the imagination of Baba Saheb and the creation of the Constitution, reservation has been provided on the basis of social untouchability. Arvind Kejriwal is anti-Dalit, anti-Ambedkar and anti-Constitution. The intention of ‘AAP’ is to end the reservation of Dalits and backward classes and give it to Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators.”

Amit Maliviya also criticised Arvind Kejriwal for using fake video on the Ambedkar row. He wrote, “Arvind Kejriwal is constantly insulting Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Yesterday he posted a fake video and today he removed Ambedkar’s picture from the Constitution and put his own. Showing himself to be bigger than Baba Saheb and the Constitution shows the anti-Dalit mentality of AAP and Kejriwal.”
