New Delhi (Nilesh Tiwari): International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday declared prize money for the upcoming Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, starting from February 19 in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

“Increased prize money is proof of the ICC’s desire to keep investing in the game and have our events leave an impact globally.”.
“Outside of the money, this tournament has intense competition, excites supporters worldwide, and is a major impetus to encourage the development and sustained existence of cricket for future generations.”
The eight teams are split into two groups of four in the 2017 competition and the two best teams from each group proceed to the semi-finals. Finance split Pakistan defeated their traditional rivals India in the final to claim the 2017 tournament title, with 53% additional prize money in total.

The amount to be spent is Rs 59.9 crore ($6.9 million). The winner of the eight-group championship will get $2.24 million or Rs 19.50 crore. Runner-up finalists will get Rs 4.86 crore ($560,000) and the runner-up will get Rs 9.72 crore ($1.12 million).
Every ICC Men’s Champions Trophy match is important, with the winning team of every group stage match earning more than $34,000 (Rs 29.50 lakhs).
