India’s 15-man team for the Champions Trophy 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India  announced on Tuesday that Rohit Sharma would return as India’s captain in the upcoming Champions Trophy in Dubai.

The Champions Trophy is set to make a comeback into the international circuit after an eight-year gap in a hybrid format. India will play all its matches in Dubai but the final set of matches in three venues of Pakistan. India will open the account for its first match against Bangladesh on February 20, as the eight-team event kicks off.

They will then stage group matches against Pakistan and New Zealand. In the 2017 final of the previous season, India and Pakistan contested at the Oval, where the Men in Blue were convincingly beaten by their arch-rivals. India had already won the trophy in 2013 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

India Champions Trophy 2025 team:

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill (vice captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja

India’s ODI series against England team squad:

Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja

However, he has been inducted into the Champions Trophy India team.

The ODI series begins from 6th February with three games against Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad. All these games would be extremely challenging for the Men in Blue to get themselves fit for the coming Champions Trophy 2025 since the tournament starts on February 19.

India’s skipper Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli hope to find some form again in the one-day format, but six months into their captaincy stint together, the two Indian batting stalwarts are still a long way from getting things right since that abysmal performance during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series in Australia.

The additional players for the squad are Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will keep wickets in the interim.
