New Delhi: V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bureau Veritas to strengthen sustainable port infrastructure and advance green maritime initiatives.
The MoU was exchanged by Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, on behalf of VOC Port and Krishnababu N, Area Manager, Bureau Veritas, on behalf of Bureau Veritas, in the presence of Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority informed on X, “The partnership will support VOC Port’s sustainability objectives through Green Port Certification, greenhouse gas emissions verification, enhanced environmental management and the adoption of best practices for cleaner and more sustainable port operations. This initiative marks another significant step towards building a greener, more efficient and future-ready maritime ecosystem at VOC Port.”
