New Delhi,: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited and a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, handed over the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) “Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Limited” to M/s G R Infraprojects Limited. The transfer marked a key milestone in the development of the ISTS Transmission Project awarded under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route.
M/s G R Infraprojects Limited was selected as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through the TBCB process conducted by RECPDCL, which acted as the Bid Process Coordinator. The project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis, with an implementation timeline of 24 months.
The SPV was formally handed over by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO, RECPDCL, to Shri Saurabh Kaushik, Business Head – Power T&D, G R Infraprojects Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, G R Infraprojects Limited, and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.
The transmission scheme includes the establishment of 2×500 MVA, 400/220 kV substation at Handiya, approximately 650 kms of 400 kV double circuit transmission lines, augmentation works at Pachora PS and Neemuch PS, and installation of line bays and bus reactors.
With this handover, RECPDCL reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating India’s power infrastructure through transparent bidding and efficient execution
