Mumbai: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and a Maharatna PSU, today announced that Pushp Kumar Nayar has assumed charge as Director (Human Resources) of the Company.
Pushp Kumar Nayar brings with him over 35 years of rich and diverse experience across Retail, Lubricants, and Human Resource function. Over the course of his distinguished career, he has held several strategic leadership positions across multiple business verticals and geographies, including a deputation assignment with Indraprastha Gas Limited.
He has developed extensive expertise in fuel retailing and lubricants marketing, consistently driving operational excellence, market expansion, and customer-centric growth. His strong business acumen and collaborative leadership approach have contributed significantly towards strengthening channel partnerships and enhancing organizational performance. He is also certified in global psychometric frameworks, including MBTI and Hogan assessments, and is a member of the Harvard Business India Leadership Advisory Board, reflecting his continued engagement with global thought leadership in people and organizational development.
Prior to assuming the role of Director (Human Resources), Nayar served as Executive Director (HRD) at BPCL, where he played a key role in talent augmentation, assimilation of organizational culture and values, succession planning, leadership development, and facilitating structured Talent Review Panels. He has also been instrumental in leveraging HR analytics and emerging AI-led interventions to institutionalize data-driven decision-making and strengthen organizational capability. He has been a key driver in fostering a progressive, performance-oriented work culture while enhancing organizational effectiveness and people capability across the enterprise.
Widely recognised for his balanced leadership approach, operational depth, strong learning agility and a clear focus on people and organizational development, Nayar has successfully led diverse teams and business functions across the country. He has earlier served as a Board Member of Central UP Gas Limited and Sabarmati Gas Limited and is currently serving as Chairman on the Board of Arunachal Gas Private Limited.
