Ahmedabad: Oswal Greenzo Energies, a joint venture between Oswal Energies Limited and Greenzo Energy India Limited, has been awarded the prestigious contract for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 5 MW Green Hydrogen Plant at Deendayal Port, Kandla, under the Government of India’s Sagarmala Initiative.

This landmark project marks India’s first green hydrogen plant at a major port, positioning Deendayal Port as a pioneer in maritime decarbonisation. The facility will be executed on an EPC basis and includes provision for future expansion up to 10 MW using common infrastructure. Once operational, the plant is expected to generate approximately 800 tonnes of green hydrogen annually, supporting clean energy adoption across port operations and the mobility sector.

The project aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and represents a major step toward reducing carbon emissions in the maritime, logistics, and transport sectors.

Ratan Bokadia, Managing Director, Oswal Energies Limited, said that being part of India’s first port-led green hydrogen project is a proud moment for the company and a strong endorsement of its technical expertise, engineering capabilities, and execution strength in advanced hydrogen systems. He reaffirmed Oswal Energies Limited’s commitment to delivering the project to global standards while supporting India’s clean energy transition.

A company spokesperson added that the Deendayal Port project marks a significant milestone for Indian engineering firms in the green hydrogen sector, and reiterated Oswal Energies’ focus on delivering world-class EPC solutions while contributing meaningfully to India’s sustainability and decarbonisation goals.

The contract was formally signed in the presence of Ratan Bokadia, Managing Director, Oswal Energies Limited, Kushal Agarwal, Executive Director, Greenzo Energy India Limited and the Chairman of Deendayal Port Authority, Sushil Kumar Singh, at Gandhidham on 28th January 2026.

Kushal Agarwal, Executive Director, Greenzo Energy India Limited, added, “Ports represent a critical intersection of industry, logistics, and energy consumption. Deploying green hydrogen at this scale within a port ecosystem demonstrates how clean hydrogen can be integrated into high-throughput, mission-critical infrastructure. This project reflects Greenzo’s focus on building scalable, commercially viable hydrogen solutions aligned with India’s long-term decarbonisation roadmap.”

This project reinforces the Oswal–Greenzo JV’s growing role in delivering scalable, indigenous, and future-ready green hydrogen infrastructure for India and global markets. Oswal–Greenzo JV’s brings strong expertise in green hydrogen technologies, renewable energy integration, and innovation-driven solutions, further strengthening the JV’s ability to support India’s transition to a low-carbon and sustainable energy future.
