New Delhi: State-owned mining company NMDC has taken another step towards strengthening international cooperation by holding high-level discussions with the Government of La Rioja Province in Argentina on strategic minerals, industrial development and sustainable mining.
An NMDC delegation led by Director (Finance) Anurag Kapil met Federico Bazán, Minister of Labour, Employment, Industry and Mining of La Rioja Province, in Buenos Aires.

NMDC informed on social media website X, “The discussions centered on advancing cooperation in strategic minerals, industrial development and sustainable mining, aligning with La Rioja’s progressive vision for responsible resource development. The Province expressed keen interest in collaborating with NMDC on key prospecting initiatives and reaffirmed its commitment to providing institutional support for future engagements.”
“This dialogue marks a significant milestone in fostering international partnerships that promote responsible mining, local value creation, quality employment and long-term, sustainable growth,” NMDC added.
