Mumbai (Harshit Yadav), December 10: The recent amendments to Dubai’s tourist visa regulations have thrown up insurmountable difficulties for Indian tourists, who have been the recipients of the worst visa rejections ever witnessed. These new rules that have been complied with, such as stricter and more detailed documentation and financial proof, are among the reasons for the increase in refusal rates, which have risen from 1-2% in the past to the current rate of 1-2%. This has led to their clients and companies, who are trying to recuperate from lost reservations and charges.
Tightened Regulations Causing Widespread Impact
The changes, as per the regulations, now require evidence of the hotel bookings made, the return tickets, and also the names of accommodation occupants if anyone is with you. None of those unaware of the new regulations would get rejected as they would think they had turned in a complete form, but that is not always the case. Middlemen are saying the new shit is now put before the people forcing them to make the hard decisions, such as the case of countless travellers who had had to cancel their trips because they were refused visas.
New Visa Requirements Explained
The revised visa rules of Dubai are the first of their kind in the Middle East, with the following in particular:
Visa applications are to be sent only by authorized travel agents or government-recognised entities. At the same time, visit visas can still be processed by individuals or companies as per the same conditions.
Travellers need to leave a copy of their return tickets so that the rule can be enforced not only at the airport checks.
Tourists are in the requirement to show hotel bookings or a confirmation letter from relatives they desire to be with who really exists to stay.
Finances Applicants have to include financial statements for their stays. They can either be recent bank statements or a sponsorship letter.
