New Delhi: RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd (REL)’s 100% subsidiary, NeoSky IndiaLimited, has strengthened its presence in the security domain with significant drone deployments in Karnataka. NeoSky recently supplied drones to the Kalaburagi district administration. NeoSky will soon supply an additional 60 Tavas drones to the Karnataka Police. Tavas is a foldable drone featuring swappable payload and six-sided obstacle avoidance using LiDAR technology.

NeoSky has been collaborating with the Indian armed forces, paramilitary forces, state police, and other agencies to support the nation’s evolving security needs. Recently, a range of surveillance drones was deployed to the Karnataka Police. This includes, Nimble-I which is equipped with day & night surveillance, swappable payloads, and AI-enabled capabilities and NS01, a micro drone weighing approximately 550 grams, equipped with a day camera.

At an event held on July 24, 2025, at the Vidhana Soudha and presided over by Home Minister of Karnataka, Gangadharaiah Parameshwara, NeoSky officially handed over NS01 and Nimble-i drones to the Kalaburagi administration.

Gangadharaiah Parameshwara said, “Our vision is to equip every police station in the State with drones. These drones will enhance the agility and responsiveness of our forces. Their indigenous design reflects how local innovation can serve public interest”

NeoSky is a full-stack drone company with expertise in Done Training, Research & Development, Manufacturing and Services. NeoSky & its subsidiary, TAS, hold a DIPP license to manufacture drones for defence, are the first in India to receive DGCA approval, and among the pioneers to successfully conduct BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) trials. The company
is also ISO-certified.

NeoSky is also scaling up its drone skilling initiatives across multiple sectors. The company trains students from armed forces, paramilitary units, rural communities, agriculture universities, schools, colleges, and even international learners and content creators. NeoSky holds a 10-year DGCA license to train and certify drone pilots in India. Currently, it is training 500 graduates and postgraduates from agricultural universities under this programme.

At the same event, Shri Priyank Kharge, Honourable Minster for IT, BT, Rural development & Panchayat Raj, announced a major skilling initiative for the region. Under this, NeoSky will train 500 youth from Kalaburagi district, equipping them with DGCA-approved drone pilot licenses. Commenting on the initiative, Shri Karge said, “Our technological strength should become a catalyst for rural transformation and throw open opportunities. Drones are among the fastest-growing sectors globally. By training our youth in cutting-edge drone technology, we are preparing them for future jobs while fostering local innovation and tech-driven ecosystems.”

Reflecting on this progress, Mrs. Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises limited, commented, “NeoSky’s partnership with the Government of Karnataka reflects our deep commitment to building a safer and more self-reliant India. Supplying 60 Tavas drones is a step forward in that mission. But what excites me even more is welcoming 500 youth from North Karnataka into our drone skilling programme—because real impact happens when technology uplifts lives.”
