New Delhi (Staff Correspondent): Amit Rautela, Chief Financial Officer(CFO) and KMP of Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited (MUNPL) – a joint venture of NTPC Limited and UPRVUNL – has been honoured with the Best CFO Award in the Public – Manufacturing – Large category at the 8th CMA-CFO Awards – 2024, organised by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), a Statutory Body under an Act of Parliament.
The award ceremony was held this evening at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in the backdrop of the 12th National Students’ Convocation of ICMAI. The inaugural session earlier in the day was graced by Droupadi Murmu, President of India, as Chief Guest and several other dignitaries.
The CFO Award was presented by Bhartruhari Mahtab, MP & Chairperson Standing Committee on Finance.
The CMA Awards recognise the significant contributions in strengthening corporate governance, value creation and preservation, risk management, operational efficiency, CSR excellence, and implementation of innovative cost and management accounting practices.

MUNPL delivered robust performance in FY 2024–25, achieving revenues exceeding ₹5,162 crore and profits crossing ₹1,252 crore, underscoring his commitment to sustainable value creation and financial excellence. The company is poised to become the largest power generation company in Uttar Pradesh, with a planned capacity addition of 5,600 MW in the coming years.
