The innovation xchange programme conducted by ITU – WTSA 2024 at New Delhi( Bharatmandapam), objective to foster international collaboration and innovation across key thematic areas in emerging technologies.
Minister of state for Communication and Rural development organised this programme where the Chairman Dr. Pemmasani chandra sekhar was present. This program aims to talk about the NextGen Network (5G/6G), AI robotics, and Quantum communication in global language .
ITU member countries namely USA, UK, UAE, Singapore present in summit, while other country member attained same for the diverse prospective mainly discussed on technological developments.
‘India under Prime minister, Narendra Modi, development can be seen in overall sectors, after launching “ Startup India ” in 2015, India has emerged as the 3rd largest ecosystem for startups with over 1.12 lakh Government recognised start-up’ said Chairman Chandra Sekhar.
This event concluded with a closing ceremony attained by Jyotiraditya. Scindia, addressing the gathering, He sail “ This WTSA-24 gathering has proven that when we collaborate with a common purpose, technology become a beacon of equity and progress. The path ahead is filled with challenges, yet it offers ample opportunities to harness technology as a catalyst for positive change. India is ready to play its part in this shared journey and we will champion international collaboration and actively contribute to the development of global standards.”
Key proposal by India include:-
- New resolutions on standardization activities of ITU, Ai technology support of ITC and development.
- New resolution on Enhancing the standardization activities on digital public infrastructure.
WTSA-24 features with 8 new resolution and 44 modified resolutions, this 10 day program witness the huge participation and highlighted programs based on leadership recognition, leadership in study group, championing Gender balance, participation of youth and entrepreneurs and specially Bharat 6g Alliance.
