middle-order batsman Rinku Singh, who missed the second and third Twenty20 Internationals against England because of a low back spasm he suffered while fielding in the first T 20, is healthy and ready to play.
Rinku Singh is healthy and will play in the fourth Twenty20 International match against England in Pune, according to India’s assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate.
Rinku was forced to miss the second and third Twenty20 Internationals due to an injury he sustained in the first match, according to BCCI’s earlier confirmation. The replacement for Rinku has been announced as Ramandeep Singh.
“He is progressing well and the BCCI medical team is monitoring him closely. He is ruled out of the 2nd and 3rd games of the ongoing 5-match T20I series,” the BCCI said in a statement.
Since India already has three spinners in their lineup, Washington Sundar is probably going to be benched for the fourth Twenty20 International if Rinku is able to make it into the starting lineup.
Washington Sundar did not have much of an influence in the two games he played, and Rinku Singh did not get to bat in the opening game of the series.
Nitish Reddy, who has been sidelined for at least four weeks, had an injury in the first Twenty20 International that appears to be more serious than Rinku’s.
