New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has officially entered the French market through a strategic distribution partnership with GD France. This expansion marks the company’s 52nd international market and reinforces its growing presence across Europe, following successful launches in Italy, Spain, and the UK.
The French debut was hosted at the iconic UTAC Mortefontaine proving ground near Paris, a renowned high-performance testing facility with a legacy dating back to 1956. The event featured immersive indoor and outdoor riding experiences, offering guests an exclusive first ride of Hero’s flagship Euro 5+ model — the Hunk 440.
With over 24 years of industry leadership and a global customer base of more than 125 million riders, Hero MotoCorp’s entry into France represents a significant milestone in its European growth strategy. The launch of the Hunk 440 is tailored to meet the expectations of French riders, combining reliability, superior engineering, and aspirational ownership.

The Hunk 440, engineered to meet Euro 5+ and EU compliance standards, enters the A2 performance category and is designed for both city commuting and high-speed touring. It delivers 36.0 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm and peak power of 27 bhp at 6000 rpm. Key features include a high tensile steel trellis frame, dual-channel ABS with 320mm front and 240mm rear discs, USD Cartridge Forks by KYB, a full-digital TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, all-LED lighting, and wide 150/60 ZR17 radial tyres. The motorcycle is available in Twilight Blue and Phantom Black, priced at €3,599 including VAT.

As part of the launch offer, Hero MotoCorp is providing a standard 3-year warranty, extended by an additional 2 years, totaling up to 5 years of coverage (T&Cs applied).
