New Delhi (Nilesh Tiwari): Indian cricketing legend Virender Sehwag and wife Aarti Ahlawat reportedly split after being married for the last 20 years. This couple, after being married in 2004, seems to have stopped following each other on Instagram, raising further questions on their current relationship.
The report in the Hindustan Times says the couple has been keeping quite some distance for several months and divorce is almost the sure thing ahead.
Aryavir was born in 2007 while Vedant in 2010 to Aarti and Virender, who is famous for his aggressive batting style. Incidences recently, however, reveal that their separation is going to be much bigger, although they have been partners for a long time.
During Diwali, the fans noticed Virender posting pictures of his mother and sons on his social media sites but did not mention or share any picture of Aarti.
This silence fuelled the gossip even more that there is a break-up in the offing.
A fortnight ago, Virender shared pictures on his Instagram account when he visited the Vishwa Nagayakshi Temple in Palakkad.
However, no reference to Aarti was made in the message, which indicates their relationship is strained. There has been no official statement regarding the public split of the couple by the cricket icon and, as a result, the fans have taken the issue into discussion.
Aarti Ahlawat was born in New Delhi. One of those rare personalities who very seldom came in the limelight. Born on December 16, 1980, did schooling from Lady Irwin Secondary School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and has a diploma in computer science from Maitreyi College, Delhi University.
This couple had the most romantic love story in which their romance dated back to the early 2000s. The grand marriage ceremony finally happened at the residence of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in 2004.
Many have perceived them as a couple in complete unity while balancing their family lives and responsibilities towards Virender’s cricketing career. However, it is said that they ended because their relationship had not been on well for a long time.
After international cricket retirement in 2015, Virender has taken up various things, such as being a member of the Anti-Doping Appeal Panel of the National Anti-Doping Agency.
These incidents have brought his private personal life under public scrutiny. However, Virender and Aarti have not declared separation.
