New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused, the Branch Manager, and Credit Officer of Bank of Baroda, Koireepur Branch, District-Sultanpur, UP, on 14.07.2026, in a bribery case.
The CBI registered the instant case on 13.07.2026 against the accused based on a complaint alleging that the complainant had been sanctioned a loan of Rs. 5 Lakh under CM Yuva Udyami Yojana at Bank of Baroda, Koireepur Branch, District-Sultanpur, UP. His Term Loan (TL) had been disbursed but his Overdraft (OD) was yet to be disbursed in the said loan. It was further alleged that the accused Branch Manager and Credit Officer demanded an undue advantage of Rs. 45,000 from the complainant as a bribe for further disbursement of Over Draft facility in the already sanctioned loan of the complainant.
The CBI laid a trap on 14.07.2026 and caught the accused Credit Officer while accepting a bribe of Rs.35,000 from the complainant in collusion with and at the behest of the accused Branch Manager.
Both the accused have been arrested on 14.07.2026 and will be produced before the Competent Court, in Lucknow.
