New Delhi: India’s railway system has once again surprised foreign tourists – this time the reason is delivery of food on train seat! British YouTuber George Buckley was recently on a tour of India when he was delivered hot food on his seat at Kanpur Central Station. And the special thing was that the train stopped at the station for only 5 minutes.

George Buckley shared this unique experience on his YouTube channel. In the video, he said, “I am ordering food while sitting on a train in India… Can’t believe it? Just wait!” The video starts with text like “Train Food Delivery in India” and then it is shown how he orders a sandwich from the Zomato app while sitting in the AC first class coach of the train, and the food is delivered within minutes.

He was helped by an Indian co-passenger, who explained the process from navigation on the app to placing the order. Buckley thanked him and said, “Nice to meet you, bro.”

“UK needs to take notes!” – Buckley’s sarcasm

He captioned the video: > “UK needs to take notes.” The experience created a storm on social media. The video has been viewed more than 8 lakh times and has received thousands of comments. One user wrote, “This is crazy! I even found Domino’s pizza on my train berth!” Another comment asked “Doesn’t this happen in other countries??” While another user quipped: “This is nothing, the next step — delivery on planes.”

Indian travel system surprises foreign travellers

George Buckley is not the only one who has been impressed by the Indian transport system. Earlier, German YouTuber Alex Welder had expressed his surprise at seeing the facilities of Delhi and Agra Metro. He said that before coming to India, he had expected chaotic traffic and old infrastructure, but the reality turned out to be quite the opposite. “The Delhi Metro has platform screen doors, charging points and separate seats for women and the elderly. In some ways, it is even better than the metros in Europe,” the welder said of his experience.

Example of railway technology and customer service

Indian Railways now allows passengers to order food through mobile apps while travelling in trains. IRCTC, Zomato, and other services are now providing this facility at major stations. This service is especially beneficial for passengers travelling long distances. This experience proved that India’s railway system is now not only huge, but also technologically advanced. Whether it is food delivery in trains or state-of-the-art facilities at metro stations — India is moving beyond its traditional image and offering a digital and convenience-rich travel experience. And when a foreigner says that “the UK needs to learn from India,” it is indeed a matter of pride.
