Prayagraj (Staff Correspondent): The famous Bollywood actress, who became a Sadhvi in Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, has announced her resignation from the post of Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara on Monday.
Sharing a social media post, Mamta Kulkarni said, “I am resigning from the post of Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhada. I have been ‘sadhvi’ since my childhood and I’ll continue to be so.”
She became Mahamandleshwar on January 24, 2025 after reaching the Kinnar Akhara of Prayagraj in Maha Kumbh 2025. She also announced her retirement from the film industry. She was named Yamai Mamtanand Giri.
She shared this news on her social media posts and said that this was the order of Mahadev, Maha Kaali.
Her life is full of controversy in connection with the underworld and drug supply. However, Bombay high court quashed criminal proceedings against her in ₹2,000 crore drugs case.
