Beijing. For a woman in China, her marriage proposal took a funny turn when she started chewing the ring instead of eating it. The incident was shared by a social media user Liu in Guang’an city of Sichuan province, who said in her post that her boyfriend had hidden the ring in the cake for the marriage proposal, but the woman ate it.

Liu wrote in her post that one day she returned home hungry and ate the taro and meat floss cake prepared by her boyfriend. The ring was hidden inside the thick layer of cake, but Liu did not know it. She kept chewing until she felt something hard.

Ring discovered in cake

Liu first thought it was a matter of quality of the cake and spat it out. However, her boyfriend took a closer look at the cake and shyly told her that the hard thing she was chewing was the ring, which he was hiding to propose. Liu thought it was a joke at first, but later realized that it was actually a gold ring. In this awkward situation, the boyfriend nervously asked Liu, “What do we do now? Should I still kneel down?” Liu laughed and said that he was all set to propose. After this hilarious twist, both of them happily agreed to marry.

Viral on social media

Liu described the incident as “the most dramatic scene of the year” and said that it became an unforgettable event in his life. He also appealed to other people to avoid the risk of proposing in this way. The video went viral on social media, and users joked and congratulated it. As one user wrote, “His bite force is no less than an adult leopard!” and another said, “Congratulations to both of you, especially this bride-to-be for her strong teeth!”
