New Delhi (Nilesh Tiwari): On Day 3, three supporters broke through security to approach star batsman Virat Kohli during the ongoing Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
This is the second incident after an incident that came to the fore on Day 1 when one of the fans managed to sneak past the security to get a closer look at Kohli. The game witnessed a dead rubber, with Kohli, seen for the first time since over 12 years in the Ranji Trophy, scoring as few as six runs while batting for the first innings in Delhi.

Though the attendance is not as high as it was for the first two games on Day 3, the former India captain still has his fans flocking to see him despite the batting mishap on Day 2.
In a viral video, three fans are seen breaking through security at the same time to meet Kohli. One of the fans even touched Kohli’s foot before security took him and the other two away. It happened in the penultimate over before lunch when Kohli was at cover to field.
Black covers were put on the Bishan Singh Bedi stand before play started on Day 3, which is adjacent to the dressing room of the Virat Kohli Pavilion.
Members of DDCA were accommodated in the Old Clubhouse stands and nervous spectators who wanted to see action at the Arun Jaitley Stadium were accommodated in the Gautam Gambhir and Mohinder Amarnath stands for play on the third day.
The few spectators who were present have been screaming Kohli’s name non-stop although the West stand was vacant.
Delhi were in command at close of play, looking at a commanding 133 run lead when, having added just 40 to their overnight tally, they folded for 374 in 106.4 overs. At the end Sumit Mathur played out a match-winning 86 while Navdeep Saini made a handy 20 not out.
The fast bowler, Himanshu Sangwan, was the best for Railways as he managed to take 4-55 with Kohli losing his off-stump in the play of the second day. Pacer Kunal Yadav, who had taken 3-104, made great support for him and wickets for Rahul Sharma, Ayan Chaudhari, and Karn Sharma.
