After more than 12 years, fans have gathered in large numbers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi to watch the comeback of renowned Indian batsman Virat Kohli to the Ranji Trophy, India’s premier domestic competition.

Cheers of “RCB, RCB” echoed the stadium as thousands waited for the Indian batter. The fan even broke through the security to meet the man one dreams of meeting.
No one in the world can match Virat Kohli’s fervour and fandom. When a fan broke through security and entered the stadium to meet and greet Virat Kohli during the Delhi vs. Railway match, it was pretty much evident that his followers almost idolise him.

Before being caught and taken away by security, the fan bent down to Kohli and touched his feet. Currently, the entire footage of the incident is going viral online.
Some of the crowd members were injured due to pushing and pulling. Even a police bike was damaged during the chaos. The security personnel and the police near the gate treated nearly three injured people. One of them even needed a leg bandage. Adding insult to the injury, a security man got injured in the process.
In the 2012 Ranji Trophy match against Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad, Kohli was last seen on the field. Kohli neither produced any particularly outstanding performances while playing in that match but at that time he was India’s top hitter across all three formats.
The right-handed batsman scored 14 and 43 runs in two innings but Delhi lost by six wickets. He is now coming back to the top league of India after a long layoff with great fervor, as fans are more than happy to see him back on the field once again.
