Greater Noida (National Desk), December 17: In an unusual but impressive move, the CEO of Noida Authority punished employees to work standing for 30 minutes after the plight of an elderly couple came to light. The couple had reportedly been roaming around the authority’s premises pleading for their case file to be passed, but their complaints were repeatedly ignored.
The move has sparked a mixed reaction, one user wrote on X, “In my opinion, this punishment is too less. They should be made to stand on the roof for at least 2 days in the cold.”
Another user wrote, “Did this solve the problem for the elderly couple? No.Nothing will be achieved by working while standing for 30 minutes. There is a need to change the work culture. The staff needs to be made sensitive. Along with making them responsible, the fear of law also needs to be instilled in them.Two or four will have to be picked up and thrown out.”
