New Delhi: The Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has brought laurels to the university by receiving the Best Paper Award at the 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Computing (ICSC 2026) held on June 8–9, 2026, in Manila, Philippines.
The award-winning research paper titled “Adaptive Marine Predator Algorithm for Accurate Parameter Estimation of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells” was jointly authored by Prof. Akash Saxena, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering, Central University of Haryana; Prof. Ajay Kumar Bansal, Department of Electrical Engineering, Central University of Haryana; and Mr. Virender S. Sangtani from Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management & Gramothan (SKIT), Jaipur.
Congratulating the researchers on this achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the award is a testament to the vibrant research culture being nurtured at the University and reflects the strong commitment of its faculty members towards high-quality research. He further stated that the University remains dedicated to promoting innovation, research excellence, and global academic collaboration.
The research presents an innovative optimization-based modelling approach for Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cells using the Adaptive Marine Predator Algorithm. The proposed methodology enhances the accuracy of parameter estimation and contributes significantly to the development of efficient and sustainable clean-energy technologies. The work has important implications for fuel-cell-based energy systems, electric mobility, and renewable energy integration.
The paper was presented during the international conference attended by researchers, academicians, and industry experts from several countries. The Best Paper Award recognizes the originality, technical quality, and potential impact of the research contribution.
