New Delhi: Coforge, an AI-native engineering services leader, inaugurated The Coforge Public Library in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, on Friday, June 5, 2026. The Coforge Public Library is the company’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and this is the fourth Coforge Public Library in India after Noida, Gurugram and Hyderabad.

The library was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, in the presence of members of the local community, educationists, senior citizens, youth, and children.

In a message shared after the launch, Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, wrote- It is with great pride and pleasure that I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Coforge for their visionary initiative in establishing ‘The Coforge Public Library’ in Delhi. This magnificent space is far more than just a building; it is a gateway to knowledge, equality, and
opportunity. It represents a profound understanding that true progress lies in empowering minds. We highly commend Coforge for recognizing the transformative power of books and taking on the noble responsibility of connecting our youth and citizens with the world of learning. I offer my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the entire Coforge family.

May this grand initiative inspire many more such sanctuaries of knowledge across Delhi and the rest of India, opening new doors of growth for every citizen.

Anuradha Sehgal, Chief Brand & Sustainability Officer of Coforge, who spearheads The Coforge Public Library initiative, said ” All Coforge Public Library locations are selected with a clear social objective: to serve dense population clusters, including underserved communities where access to quality reading infrastructure is limited. The Coforge Public Library in Vasant Kunj will be a shared space for the entire community in and around Vasant Kunj. We will discover new ideas and new worlds from books. And when we sit beside one another and read, we will learn from each other too.

Learning and appreciating people, perspectives, beliefs and worlds that are different from their own is one of the many things we wish The Coforge Public Library will make possible for everyone who walks through its doors.”
Sudhir Singh, CEO and Executive Director, Coforge said – “We measure our growth in terms of the growth of our people, of our clients’ businesses, and of the communities that we are a part of. We believe that growth and responsibility are not parallel paths, but the same journey. We believe that growth must be accelerated, and purpose must be scaled, to create enduring value for business, society and the planet.”

The library offers a 10,000 sq. ft. reading space and a curated collection of more than 15,000 titles across all popular genres including fiction, self-help, business, spirituality, art, technology, photography, poetry, biographies, autobiographies, and more. Titles are very easy to find thanks to the user-friendly shelving and visitors can also use digital screens to locate them.

The library boasts an enviable collection of 4500 children’s books and a dedicated children’s zone where young readers can enjoy reading aloud with their friends, teachers and parents. Entry and reading are completely free, and visitors may also borrow books by paying a fully refundable deposit. (No deposit is taken from students of Govt. schools).

Located on the first floor of Vasant Square Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, the library has a seating capacity of 170 people and like all other Coforge Public Libraries, will be open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 365 days a year. Coforge plans to expand this network of free public libraries across India, starting with Delhi NCR.
