Rourkela: For the first time in Odisha, SAIL, Salem Steel Plant inaugurated its first-ever retail outlet, ‘Salem Stainless Shoppe’ for stainless steel household products in the state. The outlet located near Ispat Central Market, Ambagan, Rourkela was formally inaugurated by Alok Verma, Director In-Charge, Rourkela Steel Plant, on 22nd August, 2025. Namrata Verma, President, Deepika Mahila Sanghati, Tarun Misra, ED (HR), Biswaranjan Palai, ED (Works), Anil Kumar, ED (MM), M P Singh, ED (Mines), T P Shivshankar, CGM (Operation), Salem Steel Plant, Rajesh Dasgupta, CGM (F&A) Pravati Misra, Reeta Rani, Bandana Singh, all Vice Presidents of DMS and many other Senior Officers of the Plant were present on the occasion.
The outlet is the first of its kind in Odisha, bringing the legacy of SAIL’s Salem Steel Plant directly to consumers, highlighting SAIL’s commitment to providing high-quality, trusted, and eco-friendly products to the public. The Salem Stainless Shoppe will feature a variety of products known for their “304 Grade Stainless Steel,” ensuring durability, elegant design, and non-toxic properties.
To celebrate the launch, the Salem Stainless Shoppe is offering an introductory 25% discount on all its products, providing an excellent opportunity for residents to purchase high-quality stainless steel utensils and home goods at a special price.
