Greater Noida (Sports Desk): This Thursday marks the start of the last round of the Ranji Trophy, which will feature some of the best Indian players who were not present at the last match. In addition to KL Rahul, who hasn’t played for Karnataka since March 2019, Virat Kohli is scheduled to play his first Ranji match for Delhi since 2012.

Players who played in last week’s sixth round, including Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, will not be available for this round since they wish to begin preparing for the forthcoming ODIs against England.

When Virat Kohli, the standout batter for India, walks the pitch for Delhi versus Railways at the Kotla, all eyes will be on him. He hasn’t participated in India’s top domestic event since 2012. After losing to Saurashtra last week, Delhi’s chances of reaching the quarterfinals were dashed.

Therefore, this match isn’t really important other than the fact that it marks Kohli’s comeback. Pant is not going to play in this game.

Indian batter KL Rahul The last time the opener played for Karnataka, they lost to Bengal in the 2019 league semifinals. Rahul, who requested a break from the last round due to a niggle, will play in Karnataka’s crucial matchup with Haryana at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The third-place Karnataka team must defeat the top-seeded Haryana team in Group C in order to earn a bonus point. Without a doubt, Rahul’s arrival will greatly benefit Karnataka.

Talking about Mohammed Siraj- In order to control his workload, the Hyderabad pacer took a break from the previous round and participated in all five Test matches in Australia. Siraj will play for Hyderabad in their final game against Vidarbha in Nagpur, despite no longer being a member of India’s ODI squad.

Siraj will find it challenging to play against a club that has scored more points than any other team this season because the seamer has been having trouble lately with his rhythm. Hyderabad will not be competing in the knockout stages.
