Amid escalating Israel-Lebanon conflict in the Middle East, United Nations on Tuesday urged for peace. United Nations said, “In conflict, civilians always pay the highest price. War is not the answer.We need peace.”
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said that they were gravely concerned by widening hostilities in the Middle East & fear that a large-scale invasion by #Israel into #Lebanon would only result in greater suffering.
He urged all parties to end the current path of destruction and ensure accountability.
