Greater Noida (National Desk): The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) successfully rescued a U.S. flagged sailing vessel, Sea Angel, which was stranded in the turbulent waters southeast of Indira Point, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The distress situation unfolded on July 10 when the Sea Angel, carrying two American crew members, suffered severe mechanical failure. Its sail was blown out and the propeller became entangled rendering the vessel immobile amid rough seas, nearly 52 nautical miles off the coast.
