Shimla: SJVN organized a Blood Donation Camp at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, underlining its commitment to social responsibility. Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, stated that such initiatives not only strengthen the culture of compassion and social responsibility within the organization but also play a crucial role in supporting the healthcare system.

The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel) in presence of Sh. Parthajit De, Director (Finance), Sh. Pankaj Porwal, CVO, SJVN and other senior officials of SJVN.

Ajay Kumar Sharma lauded the spirit of voluntary service displayed by employees and other participants. He emphasized that SJVN remains committed to organizing more such activities that contribute meaningfully to society and inspire others to join this noble cause. Leading from the front, Ajay Kumar Sharma and his spouse, Shally Sharma, Patron of Satluj Shree Ladies Club, Shimla, donated blood on this occasion.

 

Parthajit De appreciated the overwhelming response of voluntary donors and highlighted that blood donation is the powerful way to save lives. He further added that regular organization of such camps helps in creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and fosters a sense of unity and humanitarian values among employees.

During the camp, more than 200 units of Blood were donated by the employees, their family members, Satluj Shree Ladies Club, Shimla and contractual workers deployed at CHQ, Shimla, who enthusiastically volunteered for this life saving cause. As a gesture of appreciation, mementoes were presented by Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma & Smt. Shally Sahrma, Sh. Parthajit De & Smt. Sriparna De and Sh. Pankaj Porwal to all the donors, acknowledging their selfless contribution to this life-saving cause.

The Blood Donation Camp was organised in collaboration with Department of IH & Blood Transfusion, Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla. Medical Officer along with a dedicated team from IGMC was present at the camp.
