Seoul (Staff Correspondent): Rajya Sabha MP and prominent youth leader of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Raghav Chadha is currently participating in the Asian Leadership Conference (ALC) held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Representing India in this two-day conference, Raghav Chadha took a tough stand on terrorism and appealed to the global community to unite against this threat.

Raghav Chadha shared a special picture on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), in which he is seen with two eminent global leaders. This picture is special because former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott are sitting with him in the frame on one side. He wrote in his post, “It’s not every day you find yourself sitting between two former Prime Ministers – the highly respected Rishi Sunak on the left and the widely respected Tony Abbott on the right. A special moment at the Asian Leadership Conference in South Korea.”

Gave a sharp statement on India’s terrorism policy

In his speech during the conference, Raghav Chadha advocated strict action against terrorism sponsored by Pakistan. He appealed to the international community to form a global front against countries that patronize terrorist activities.

He said that the Indian government has now adopted a new strategy against terrorism, in which strict action is taken against terrorists as well as nations supporting them. Chadha said, “Now India has moved beyond ‘condemning words’ against terrorism. If India is attacked, we will respond across the border.”

India’s strong presence on the global stage

Raghav Chadha’s presence was not only important for presenting India’s political vision on the international stage, but he also left his mark as a symbol of young leadership. The theme of the conference was “Rise of Nations: Paths to Great Prosperity”, on which leaders from various countries shared their views. Apart from Chadha, many prominent global leaders such as Mike Pompeo (former US Secretary of State), Laurel Miller, Tony Abbott and Rishi Sunak were also present on this platform.

Participation of more than 2,500 delegates in the conference

Called ‘Davos of the East’, this time more than 320 global leaders and more than 2,500 delegates attended this conference. Representatives from various fields of politics, business, education and civil society shared views on the major challenges and opportunities facing Asia.

This visit and participation of Raghav Chadha has given a glimpse of India’s new foreign policy, where young leaders are raising the voice of the country on global platforms. His ‘special moment’ with two former Prime Ministers made the visit even more historic.
