Greater Noida (Business Desk): In a significant step towards strengthening energy availability in Bihar and Eastern India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of NTPC Nabinagar STPP, Stage-II (3×800 MW), worth over Rs 29,948 crore located in Aurangabad district of Bihar on 30th May 2025.
This project is based on the latest state-of-the-art Ultra-Supercritical Technology with highest power generation efficiency. To reaffirm NTPC water stewardship, Dry Bottom ash handling system and air-cooled condenser is being installed in Nabinagar stage-II units, this will significantly reduce freshwater consumption for power generation.
Besides the project will supply affordable and reliable power to Bihar and other beneficiaries which include Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Punjab.
The Project will help to meet the increasing energy needs of local communities, businesses, and industries, supporting the region’s economic growth. Further, the project will also support the nation to attain the dual objectives of energy security and energy affordability.
