Greater Noida(National Desk):Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address at the commencement of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, struck an optimistic and patriotic tone, celebrating India’s major achievements in defence, economy, social development, and space exploration. Calling the session a “celebration of national pride and victory,” he lauded the country’s recent milestones and urged unity in national interest.
The Prime Minister began by highlighting the positive monsoon trends, which are expected to benefit agriculture and the rural economy. He informed that water storage this year is three times higher than the past decade, likely boosting economic growth.
A key highlight of the address was the unfurling of the Indian Tricolour at the International Space Station, which PM Modi described as a historic first and a proud moment for every Indian. He said this achievement has reinvigorated the country’s enthusiasm for science, innovation, and space exploration.

PM Modi also emphasized India’s growing military strength, citing Operation Sindoor, where the armed forces achieved complete success within just 22 minutes. He said the global interest in India’s indigenously developed defence equipment is rising and called for greater support for the ‘Made in India’ defence sector, which is generating new jobs and innovation.

On internal security, the Prime Minister noted the shrinking influence of Naxalism and Maoism, declaring that districts once dominated by extremist forces are now moving towards peace and prosperity. “Our Constitution is triumphing over guns and violence,” he asserted, calling former Red Corridor regions new hubs of green growth.
The Prime Minister reflected on India’s economic journey, recalling that the country was part of the “Fragile Five” before 2014. Now, he said, India is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy, with low inflation and high growth. He also noted the upliftment of 25 crore people from poverty, and the global recognition of Digital India and UPI, which has made India a global leader in real-time digital transactions.
On the social front, PM Modi highlighted achievements like over 90 crore Indians covered under social security, and the eradication of trachoma as declared by WHO. He also commended political parties and MPs for setting aside differences to globally expose Pakistan’s terror links after the Pahalgam massacre.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister called for unity in national interest, urging all political parties to engage in meaningful debates and support critical bills aimed at national development. “Even if minds do not meet on party interests, they must come together on national interest,” he said, expressing hope for a productive and constructive session.
