New Delhi (Nilesh Tiwari), November 04: Pat Cummins led Australia to lead 1-0 in the 3-match series after defeating Pakistan by 2 wickets. Pakistan debut captain Mohammad Rizwan’s side had to face defeat in the first match. Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Pakistan was bowled out for 203 in 46.4 overs.
Early dismissal of Saim Ayub and Shafique Put Pakistan in a tough situation, but Babar Azam and Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan’s built a brilliant partnership, but after that, Babar Azam was bowled by Adam Zampa. Azam was out after scoring 37 runs. Babar Azam’s form has become a big concern for the Pakistan team.
Mohammad Rizwan scored a solid 44 runs and put Pakistan in a better position. But after that, Manus Labuschagne dismissed him.
Naseem Shah came from the bottom and played an attacking innings and took Pakistan to a good total. Australia’s bowler Mitchell Starc put the Pakistan team on the back foot by taking early wickets.
