Greater Noida (Business Desk):The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary chargesheet against Firoz Khan, a key accused in the 2022 Chittorgarh explosives recovery case. Khan was arrested in April 2025 after evading authorities for three years.
He has been charged under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Explosive Substances Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act [UA(P)A]. The charges have been included in the main chargesheet as well as the latest supplementary chargesheet submitted to the NIA Special Court in Jaipur.
Firoz Khan had earlier been declared a proclaimed offender, with a standing arrest warrant issued by the court.

NIA’s investigation has revealed that Firoz conspired with several co-accused in the case related to the recovery of explosives and components used to fabricate Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in March 2022. Acting on instructions from co-accused Imran Khan, Firoz allegedly procured chemical substances necessary for IED fabrication and participated in key conspiracy meetings.
The case was originally registered in April 2022 as RC-18/2022/NIA/DLI. In September 2022, the NIA had filed its first chargesheet against 11 individuals, followed by a supplementary chargesheet in November 2023.
The investigation is ongoing, and more developments are expected as authorities continue to crack down on the network involved in the planned terror activities.
