New Delhi:  The Mobius Foundation hosted the grand premiere of its much-anticipated 10-part documentary series, Embers of Hope: The Fight for Our Future, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery. The event brought together an audience of policymakers, academicians, environmental leaders, media professionals, students and sustainability advocates to witness India’s climate story told with unprecedented depth and emotion.

Narrated by legendary actor Ms. Zeenat Aman, Embers of Hope explores India’s environmental challenges from deforestation and air pollution to biodiversity loss and rising sea levels, while shedding light on inspiring grassroots initiatives that are driving change.

The evening began with an exclusive screening of Episode 1 of the series. At the event the official website – www.eohseries.com was also launched, which will serve as a platform for engagement, awareness, and public participation.

The documentary will premiere on Discovery, Discovery HD, Discovery+, Animal Planet, and Animal Planet HD channels starting November 16, 2025, coinciding with the COP30 Summit in Belém, Brazil (November 6–21, 2025). The series will be released simultaneously across India and other SAARC countries, bringing this powerful environmental narrative to audiences across the region.

A thought-provoking conversation titled “The Making of Embers of Hope” with its creators and storytellers was moderated by Ms. Jessica Gill, featuring:

  • Mr. Pradip Burman, Chairman, Mobius Foundation
  • Ms. Zeenat Aman, Narrator, Embers of Hope
  • Shri Navneet Kumar Sehgal, IAS, Chairman, Prasar Bharati
  • Prof. Bhaskar Vira, Pro Vice-Chancellor, University of Cambridge
  • Mr. Arjun Nohwar, SVP & Managing Director – India & South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery
  • Mr. Praveen Garg, IAS (Retd.), President, Mobius Foundation
  • Mr. Robin Roy, Director, Embers of Hope

The discussion highlighted the urgency of addressing environmental degradation and the power of storytelling in mobilizing collective action.

Pradip Burman, Chairman, Mobius Foundation, speaking on the occasion, said: “The urgency to save our planet simply isn’t there. We keep talking, but the action on the ground doesn’t match the scale of the crisis. The root cause of much of our environmental destruction lies in the burning of fossil fuels -yet this is not fully understood or acknowledged by many around the world. We have already breached the 1.5°C threshold, and that should alarm every one of us. The warning lights are flashing red.”

“With the global population now exceeding 8 billion, we are consuming resources at an unsustainable rate. Our ecosystems are under immense stress, and that imbalance is a major driver of climate change. If we truly want to restore planetary balance, we must address population growth alongside resource use, energy transition, and environmental protection,” Mr. Burman added.
