Greater Noida(Agriculture Desk):The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare has released the latest figures on the progress of area coverage under Kharif crops for the 2025 season. As of July 25, 2025, the total area sown with Kharif crops stands at 829.64 lakh hectares, reflecting an increase of 31.73 lakh hectares compared to the corresponding period in 2024.
The area sown under Kharif crops has registered a notable uptick, especially in key cereals, pulses, and oilseeds. The data indicates that the overall area covered is nearing the normal area (2019-2024), showing a positive trend in agricultural activity.
