Greater Noida(Defence Desk):As part of its ongoing operational deployment in Southeast Asia, the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet has successfully concluded a four-day port call to Singapore from 16 to 19 July 2025. The fleet comprised INS Delhi, INS Shakti, INS Satpura, and INS Kiltan, operating under the command of Rear Admiral Susheel Menon, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF).
The visit aimed to bolster bilateral naval ties and promote maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. During the visit, Rear Admiral Menon held key engagements, including courtesy calls on the High Commissioner of India to Singapore and the Fleet Commander of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). Discussions focused on enhancing mutual collaboration in naval operations, training, and regional security initiatives.

In a gesture of historical remembrance, commanding officers and crew members participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Kranji War Memorial, honoring the memory of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World War II.

The visit also witnessed robust professional exchanges between the Indian Navy and the RSN through cross-deck visits, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs), and friendly sports activities designed to deepen operational understanding and camaraderie.

A highlight of the visit was a deck reception onboard INS Shakti, which hosted RSN personnel, diplomats, prominent members of Singapore’s Indian diaspora, and other dignitaries. The event served as a platform to celebrate the enduring India-Singapore maritime partnership.
This port call reaffirmed the Indian Navy’s commitment to maintaining peace, stability, and cooperative engagement in the region, in line with India’s maritime vision of SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region).
