New Delhi: Hikal Limited, a trusted life sciences partner to global pharmaceutical, crop protection, animal health and specialty chemical companies, today announced that Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products, has granted a Certificate of GMP Compliance of a Manufacturer to its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) facility in Bengaluru. The certificate confirms that the facility meets the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements of the Mutual Recognition Agreement between the European Union and Switzerland.
The Swissmedic certification builds on successful inspections of the Bengaluru facility by Brazil’s ANVISA and Japan’s PMDA. Together, these recognitions reinforce the site’s standing with leading global regulators and position Hikal to serve a wider base of customers across regulated markets. They also advance the Company’s strategy to diversify the geographic footprint of its pharmaceutical business, building resilience against geopolitical and trade uncertainties.
