New Delhi (Nilesh Tiwari), December 13: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Board (ICC) have reached an agreement with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over the hybrid mode of the 2025 Champions Trophy. The main event’s India-focused matches are slated to happen in Dubai.
The Champions Trophy 2025 will be hosted by PCB, with Pakistan hosting ten of the competition’s games. All three of India’s league games, including the highly anticipated encounter versus Pakistan, will take place in Dubai. In addition to India’s league games, Dubai will host the semifinals and championship game.The semifinal and final will be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi, Pakistan, assuming India is eliminated following league matches.
The ICC rejected the PCB’s request for compensation if India declined to travel to Pakistan for the main event. PCB will host an ICC Women’s event after 2027, although they will not get any pay at this time.
Pakistan will not visit India for the 2026 T20 World Cup, as agreed upon by the BCCI and PCB. All of the Men in Green’s games will be played in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
