Surat: Borana Weaves Ltd., one of India’s leading producers of Synthetic Greige fabric, has announced key operational milestones including the successful commissioning of its rooftop solar power project and operationalization of its expanded weaving capacity.
Renewable Energy Integration Enhances Cost Efficiency The Company has successfully commissioned its 3.545 MW rooftop solar power project, which is now operational across its manufacturing units. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce reliance on conventional power sources and improve cost efficiencies. With increasing integration of renewable energy, the Company anticipates lower power costs, improved operating margins and greater energy cost stability, while also strengthening its sustainability initiatives.
Full Operationalization of 160 Water Jet Looms Drives Capacity Expansion The Company has now fully operationalized all 160 high-speed Water Jet (WJ) looms at Unit 4B. Earlier, 64 looms had commenced production; the remaining looms are now installed and operating at full capacity.
This milestone marks a significant scale-up in production capabilities and is expected to:
- Increase output capacity substantially
- Improve operational efficiency and asset utilization
- Enable faster turnaround and stronger order execution
- Support revenue growth through higher volumes
