Bengaluru: BEML Limited has secured a significant contract valued at approximately ₹157 crore for the manufacture of 15 sets (30 cars) of Switch Rail Grinding Machines. The order has been awarded by Loram Rail Maintenance India Private Limited, a global leader in advanced rail maintenance technologies.
Under this contract, BEML will manufacture and supply state-of-the-art Switch Rail Grinding Machines to Indian Railways, supporting its mission to modernize track maintenance infrastructure and elevate operational efficiency across the national rail network. These specialized machines are engineered to deliver precision grinding of railway switches and crossings— improving track reliability, enhancing ride quality, and significantly reducing maintenance downtime.
